We will never sell, rent, or trade your personal information — to any person, any website, any government agency, or any private corporation — for any reason. The only exceptions are the narrow, necessary ones spelled out below: when the law requires it, or when a service we depend on to run this site (like our hosting provider) needs it to keep the lights on. We stand by that.

DoctorKnow.ai is an independent, one-person project (for now — we're building toward a volunteer community). We're not owned or funded by any AI company, and we don't run ads. If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at DoctorKnowAI@gmail.com.

We collect only what's needed to run the site and the things you choose to do on it:

• Account information — if you join for free, we collect your email address and any profile details you provide (like a username).
• Content you submit — opinions, comments, or posts you contribute to our public debate forums and discussions.
• Usage data — basic technical information (like browser type and pages visited) collected through cookies, described below.
• Voluntary contact — if you reach out to volunteer, sponsor, or donate, we collect whatever you send us to respond (currently, we have no payment or donation system live).

We do not collect sensitive personal information, and we don't ask for more than we need.

We use your information to operate your account, display your public contributions where you choose to share them, respond to messages, and improve the site. We do not use your data to build advertising profiles, and we do not sell it to data brokers, marketers, or anyone else — that's the whole point of this project.

We currently use only essential cookies required for basic site functionality (like keeping you logged in). Once DoctorKnow.ai is out of beta, we'll add a full cookie consent manager (Cookiebot) so you can see exactly which cookies are active — sorted into Necessary, Preferences, Statistics, and Marketing — and control your consent for each category at any time.

Because DoctorKnow.ai is built around open debate, anything you post to public forums or discussion areas is visible to other visitors and may be indexed by search engines. Don't share anything there you wouldn't want public.

We take reasonable steps to protect your information, but no online service can guarantee perfect security. We'll notify affected users if we ever become aware of a breach involving your personal information.

Wherever you're located, you can ask us to access, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by contacting us. If you're in a region with specific privacy laws (like the EU/UK's GDPR or California's CCPA), you have the rights those laws guarantee, and we'll honor them regardless of where you live.

DoctorKnow.ai is not directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13 (or the minimum age in your region, if higher). If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we'll delete it.

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top and post a notice on the site. Continued use after a change means you accept the update.
